Ben is a multi-instrumentalist who began playing music as a child.
His background and training in music has also extended into arranging and Ben has been able to provide welcome input into Montserrat's arrangements.
Ben has a great 'feel' and appreciation for most styles of music and has worked with a number of different styles of bands over the years including popular blues performer Will Scarlett and Aussie rock legend Stevie Wright.
Some of Ben's other projects include the 'The Orphans of Swing' and his own band 'Key Element'.
Apart from bands Ben also works as a solo artist and is heavily involved in recording.
His keyboard skills are renowned throughout SE Qld and when you add his vocal ability it's easy to see why he's in demand.
Ben has found a real niche with Jimmy Buffett songs and his involvement with Montserrat is a refreshing change for him as he mixes country with Caribbean.
